ZAHF: Tapestry of Humanity

The annual Zayed Award for Human Fraternity recognises people and organisations who nurture peace, harmony and understanding. I strategically developed a concept for the 2025 edition.

Creative agency People asked me to generate a concept for the 2025 awards event. These narratives help to set each edition apart, giving audiences a new insight into the idea of ‘human fraternity’. For 2025, I identified an opportunity to celebrate connection across difference in an increasingly polarised world, and proposed the tactile theme ‘Tapestry of Humanity’.
Symbolising unity in diversity, this concept was shaped to offer strong visual possibilities. People’s creative team wove it into the show and environment, from scripts to songs to an embroidered backdrop made by local artisans. Streamed across the world, the event honoured World Central Kitchen, innovator Heman Bekele, and Prime Minister Mia Mottley of Barbados.
